Who am I?

My name is Ben; and until recently I was a chemistry technician at my local university.

I gained experience in the role and even earned my science degree through part-time study.

However, gradually I lost enthusiasm with chemistry and realised I needed something different.

After some soul-searching I chose coding because there is ample opportunity for growth and career progression.

So far I am enjoying it. Being able to see what you're building gives me a real buzz.

Ultimately, I'd like to grow into a professional.

My current personal project is:

An alcoholic beverage record app!

At the moment I'm only in the design stage. The picture is a wireframe of the app.

Why are you building this?

I like to try out guest beers and new wines when I go out; sometimes you find a great new drink!

To remember them I write them into my phones note app.

However, it is clunky to edit, has no search/sort capability, and basically not suitable for my needs.

So I'm challenging myself as a new coder to try to build this app.
